And the impetuous silhouette of the "five-door coupe" with sharpened-sharpened edges and a surprisingly rounded nose looks great.

The interior of the Audi A5 Sportback is dominated by cleanliness of surfaces and lines, which combines impeccable ergonomics, excellent build quality and classy finishing materials (expensive plastics, wood, leather, Alcantara and aluminum inserts). The laconic front panel with a single line of ventilation deflectors, a protruding 8.3-inch "tablet" of the multimedia center and a stylish "toolkit" with analogue scales and a display between them (optionally replaced by a 12.3-inch "scoreboard") looks nice and solid. Specifications. For the "five-door coupe" of the second generation, four power units have been prepared to choose from:

  • Gasoline "Sportbacks" are equipped with a four-cylinder TFSI engine of the EA888 series of 2.0 liters with combined fuel injection, a 16-valve timing structure, variable valve timing and turbocharging, available in two "pumping" options. In the "junior" version, the motor generates 190 horsepower at 4200-6000 rpm and 320 Nm of peak torque at 1450-4200 rpm, and in the "senior" - 249 "stallions" at 5000-6000 rpm and 370 Nm at 1600-4500 rpm.
  • The less capable diesel modification is armed with a 2.0-liter EA288 unit with four vertically oriented "pots", 16-valve timing, two turbochargers and direct power supply, producing 190 "mares" at 3800-4200 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 1750-3000 rpm.
  • More powerful solutions relies a V-shaped six-cylinder TDI diesel with a volume of 3.0 liters with direct fuel supply, a turbocharger with a variable geometry and an adjustable lift of the exhaust valves, the potential of which is 218 "horses" at 4000-5000 rpm and 400 Nm of available torque at 1250 -3750 rpm.

A 6-speed "mechanics" and a front-wheel drive transmission are combined with a 190-horsepower petrol engine, while the rest of the units are assigned a 7-band "robot" S tronic and quattro all-wheel drive with a Torsen center differential, which normally divides the thrust in a ratio of 60:40 favor of the rear axle. If necessary, up to 75% of the thrust is "settled" in the front or up to 85% in the rear.

Depending on the modification, the maximum speed of the second generation Audi A5 Sportback is 235-250 km / h, and it takes 6-7.4 seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundred”.

Petrol cars need 5.6-5.9 liters of fuel in mixed conditions, while diesel ones need 4.4-4.6 liters.

At the heart of the five-door is a modernized version of the MLB platform, called MLB evo, with an independent suspension architecture on both axles: a double-lever is installed in the front, and a five-lever with four upper levers at the rear. The body of the car is almost entirely made of high-strength steel grades, and only the bumper crossbars and the front pillar supports are made of aluminum.
The steering gear of the "German" with electric booster on the rail is attached to the front of the main subframe, and all its wheels are equipped with ventilated disc brakes (on 190-horsepower modifications behind the usual "pancakes") with ABS, BAS, EBD and other electronics.

Optional adaptive electronically controlled shock absorbers with three operating modes (Auto, Comfort, Dynamic) and dynamic steering technology with an electromechanical amplifier are available for the liftback, which changes the transmission characteristics depending on the steering angle and speed.

Options and prices. In the Russian market, the "second" Audi A5 Sportback in 2018 is sold in three equipment options - "Base", "Design" and "Sport".

A car in basic configuration with a 190-horsepower gasoline engine and a front-wheel drive transmission costs from 2,420,000 rubles. Its functionality includes: six airbags, bi-xenon headlights, hill start assist, dual-zone climate control, ESP, ABS, eight-speaker audio system, 17-inch alloy wheels, ERA-GLONASS function, heated front seats, a multimedia complex with a 7-inch screen, light and rain sensors, power windows for all doors and other modern equipment.

A five-door with a diesel "four" in the "Design" and "Sport" versions (exclusively with all-wheel drive) is sold at a price of 2,655,000 rubles, and for a modification with a gasoline unit of 249 hp. will have to pay at least 2 850 000 rubles.

The "designer" version differs from the standard "brother" with a panoramic roof, leather interior trim, 18-inch "rollers" and some other points, and the "sports" version is also complemented by the "S line" package.
