Lexus UX 250h is a front- or all-wheel-drive premium subcompact crossover, “sporting” a bold appearance, “adult” interior, modern hybrid drive and a high level of equipment ... It is addressed primarily to wealthy young people who live in the city and are interested in technique ...

The serial SUV made a full-fledged debut in March 2018 - at the international motor show in Geneva, but its conceptual prototype was presented at the end of September 2016 - at the Paris Motor Show.

The car, which became the formal successor to the CT 200h hatchback, received a spectacular design, progressive "stuffing" and a wide range of options.

Outside, Lexus UX 250h can be recognized against the background of a standard "brother" only by the nameplates with a bluish background and the words "Hybrid" on the rear doors ... otherwise it looks the same: attractive, bold, athletic and balanced.

For the hybrid, as well as for the petrol model, the optional F Sport package is offered, bringing some small finishing touches to the exterior.

The subcompact crossover has the following dimensions: 4495 mm in length, 1840 mm in width and 1520 mm in height. The distance between the wheelsets at the five-door does not exceed 2640 mm.

The ground clearance of the off-road vehicle does not exceed 160 mm, and its "traveling" weight varies from 1675 to 1755 kg, depending on the version.

Inside, the Lexus UX 250h completely repeats an SUV with a gasoline engine - a modern and elegant design, excellent ergonomics, expensive finishing materials, a high level of workmanship and a five-seater layout.

As for the cargo capacity, the hybrid has almost parity with the gasoline “brother” in this parameter: in normal condition, the volume of its trunk is 224 liters. In this case, the rear row of seats is folded in the ratio "60:40" into a completely flat area.

The Lexus UX 250h is powered by a fourth-generation hybrid powertrain that includes a 14: 1 Dynamic Force petrol engine with a 14: 1 compression ratio, variable valve timing and direct injection, which generates 146 horsepower, a 33-horsepower electric motor and an electromechanical variator. ... The combined output of the hybrid drive is 178 hp.

As standard, the petrol-electric crossover is equipped with drive wheels of the front axle and a nickel-metal-hybrid traction battery (mounted under the rear seat and providing several kilometers of pure electricity).

As an option, the five-door can be equipped with an E-Four all-wheel drive transmission - with a separate Aisin electric motor located on the rear axle and developing 7 hp. and 55 Nm of peak traction (but it actually only helps when starting off).

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 8.5-8.7 seconds for the hybrid crossover, depending on the type of drive, and its maximum capabilities do not exceed 177 km / h. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle of a car ranges from 4.3 to 4.8 liters for every "hundred" of run.

In terms of its design, the Lexus UX 250h copies the standard model: the modular TNGA bogie at the base (more precisely, its GA-C version for compact cars), the widespread use of high-strength steel and aluminum in the body structure, independent front and rear suspensions (MacPherson struts and two-lever, respectively), electric power steering and disc brakes on all wheels (ventilated on the front axle).

In Russia Lexus UX 250h is offered only in four-wheel drive version in three trim levels - "#Enjoy", "FSport" and "#Fell".

The car in the standard version is estimated at 2,848,000 rubles, and its equipment includes: eight airbags, 18-inch alloy wheels, an audio system with six speakers, dual-zone climate control, fully LED optics, cruise control, a media center with 7 -inch screen, light and rain sensors, front and rear parking sensors, electric heating of the steering wheel, rear view camera, ERA-GLONASS system and other "bells and whistles".

Modification "#FSport" costs at least 3,099,000 rubles, and the most "advanced" version will cost from 3,736,000 rubles.

The latter has in its arsenal: adaptive suspension, keyless entry and engine start, a fifth door servo, electric front seats and steering column, all-round cameras, a Mark Levinson audio system with 13 speakers, front seat ventilation, a media system with a 10.3-inch scoreboard, head-up display and a complex of assistive electronics Lexus Safety System 2.
