MINI John Cooper Works Countryman is a "charged" modification of the five-door "subcompact SUV" with the traditional designation "John Cooper Works" ... Along with sports attributes in the exterior and interior, it boasts the most powerful engine in the history of the brand and "hardy" technology.

In its second generation, the car was officially shown to a wide audience for the first time on January 18, 2017 during an online show - compared to its predecessor, it experienced the same "metamorphoses" as the "civilian" SUV, and the technical "stuffing" was borrowed from the all-wheel drive station wagon JCW Clubman ...

Outside, the “second” MINI Countryman in the “warmed-up” version differs from its “less energetic counterparts” by unique bumpers, enlarged air intakes, “JCW” nameplates around the body, 18-inch wheels of the original design and some other specific decor.

The overall dimensions of the "Countryman" in the "charged" version are typical for the "subcompact class": 4299 mm, 1557 mm and 1822 mm in length, height and width, respectively. The gap between the axles of the "Briton" reaches 2670 mm, and its clearance under the "belly" fits into 165 mm.

Inside the MINI JCW Countryman of the second generation, everything is the same as in a regular car, with the exception of the dashboard (after 200 km / h, the risks on the speedometer become a checkered flag), metal pedals, John Cooper Works logos and contrasting inserts on front panel.

In addition, in the front of the SUV's interior, sports "buckets" with "built-in" headrests and electrical adjustments are installed, but in terms of other cargo-and-passenger capabilities, it does not differ from the standard "brother": a three-seater rear sofa and a trunk with a volume of 450 to 1390 liters.

Specifications. The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman of the second generation is armed with a four-cylinder gasoline engine “B48” (meeting Euro-6 requirements) with an aluminum cylinder block, a twin-scroll twin-scroll turbocharger integrated into the exhaust manifold, a direct “power supply” function and a throttle-free education system Valvetronic mixtures. With a working volume of 2.0 liters, the engine generates 231 "horses" at 5000-6000 rpm and 350 Nm of produced potential at 1450-4500 rpm.

As standard, the car is equipped with a 6-speed "mechanics" and an All4 all-wheel drive transmission with a Haldex multi-plate clutch, which, if necessary, transfers torque to the rear wheels. As an option, she relies on an 8-band "automatic" Aisin.

The spurt to "hundred" at a "charged" five-door lasts 6.5 seconds, the "maximum speed" fits into 234 km / h, and the "destruction" of fuel varies from 6.9 to 7.4 liters per 100 km, depending on the decision.

Structurally, the "second" MINI JCW Countryman repeats the standard model: UKL "bogie" with MacPherson architecture at the front and "four-link" at the rear, a large number of high-strength steels and aluminum in the "skeleton" of the body, as well as an electric power steering with adaptive characteristics. As for its features, these include sporty suspension settings and more "hardy" Brembo disc brakes on all wheels (on the front - with four-piston calipers).

Options and prices. In Russia, the "hot" modification MINI Countryman is imported exclusively with an 8-band "automatic" at a price of 2,490,000 rubles (as of 2018).

The starting configuration of the five-door includes: six airbags, rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels, dynamic cruise control, multimedia center, ERA-GLONASS system, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, high-quality audio system, rear view camera, LED headlights and lights, four power windows and much more.
