The "charged" sedan Audi S4 with the B8 index was officially presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show in autumn 2008. Along with the rest of the lineup, the car underwent a planned update in 2011, having received similar changes with them.
In terms of appearance, the "pumped" Audi S4 differs from its usual counterparts in insignificant details - it is a slightly more aggressive plastic body kit, large 18-inch "rollers" behind which powerful brakes are hidden, and two pairs of exhaust pipes. However, such touches have added expressiveness, attractiveness and dynamism to the sedan.
The outer dimensions of the body of the Audi S4 are somewhat superior to those of the usual three-volume "four". The length of the "charged" car is 4716 mm, which is 15 mm longer than that of the Audi A4, but the width is the same - 1826 mm. Due to the lowered suspension (ground clearance - 120 mm), the height of the "es-fourth" is 1406 mm.
The "charged" Audi S4 sedan inherited the interior from the usual A4 - it has thoughtful ergonomics, high-quality finishing materials and perfect assembly. But there are still some differences. First is the “S” style dashboard with white arrows on a gray background and the “S4” logo printed on the rev counter. Secondly, there is the leather-trimmed steering wheel, which is cut off at the bottom - a hint of the sportiness of the model. Thirdly, these are stricter and differently profiled front seats, which look more impressive, but at the same time they are no less comfortable than the usual "fours".
But the rear sofa of the "charged" sedan is also capable of comfortably accommodating only two passengers, although it is formally designed for three. The person sitting in the middle will be hampered by the protruding transmission tunnel.
The luggage compartment has a capacity of 480 liters, with the rear seats folded down - 962 liters. Its shape is rectangular, and the wheel arches and hinges do not interfere with the transportation of goods in any way.
Specifications. Under the hood of the Audi S4 sedan is a three-liter V-shaped six-cylinder engine with a mechanical supercharger and direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber. The unit develops a power of 333 horsepower, and the maximum possible torque of 440 Nm is available in the range of 2900 - 5300 rpm.
High dynamic performance is helped by a 7-speed robotic S tronic transmission with two clutches and a quattro all-wheel drive transmission.
So, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in a "pumped-over" sedan takes only 5.1 seconds, and the maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h.
Despite the fact that this car does not differ in gluttony - in the combined cycle, 8.1 liters of fuel per 100 km of run are enough for it.
The "es-fourth" uses the same chassis design as the Audi A4 - double wishbones at the front and a multi-link at the rear. The differences are in stiffer dampers and springs, as well as in slightly different settings.
Options and prices. In the Russian market for a "charged" sedan Audi S4 in 2015, the minimum asking is 2,860,000 rubles.
