The compact crossover Honda CR-V of the second generation was introduced in 2002, at the same time it entered mass production. The car was produced until 2006, after which he retired, but managed to disperse around the world with a circulation of more than 750 thousand copies.

The length of the "second" Honda CR-V is 4555 mm, height - 1710 mm, width - 1780 mm. It has 2,620 mm between the axles, and the ground clearance is 205 mm. Depending on the modification, the curb weight of the car varies from 1430 to 1530 kg, and the gross weight - from 1900 to 1910 kg. It was presented only in a five-door version of the body.

The second generation Honda CR-V crossover was offered with a two-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine with 150 horsepower and 192 Nm of peak torque. The motor was combined with a 5-speed manual or 4-band automatic transmission, front or all-wheel drive.

Both the front and rear suspension on the second-generation Honda CR-V were independent, spring-loaded. Ventilated disc brakes were installed on the front wheels, and disc brakes on the rear.

With general practicality, the "second" Honda CR-V has lost the image of a dynamic and sports car inherent in the first generation of the model.

The advantages of the Japanese crossover include an attractive appearance, an interesting interior, a rather powerful and reliable engine that provides good dynamics, a roomy interior, high-quality assembly and acceptable equipment.

There were also drawbacks - hard and inexpensive plastics in the cabin, weak suspension (in particular, early sagging rear springs), requiring careful attention, satisfactory steering, a tendency to roll in corners, uncertain braking, as well as the high cost of spare parts.
